Job Description
Your tasks
Your key responsibilities:
- You perform protein purification using techniques such as affinity chromatography size exclusion chromatography ion exchange and hydrophobic interaction chromatography.
- You prepare and maintain laboratory reagents buffers and equipment for experiments.
- You troubleshoot and optimize purification protocols to achieve highquality highyield protein isolation.
- You analyze protein purity and concentration using SDSPAGE Western blotting and spectrophotometric methods.
- You maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks and prepare reports.
- You assist in designing and executing experiments in collaboration with senior researchers and project leads.
- You ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory.
Your profile
- You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Biochemistry Molecular Biology Biotechnology or a related field.
- You have proven experience in protein purification techniques (e.g. affinity chromatography FPLC HPLC).
- You are familiar with protein analysis methods such as SDSPAGE Western blotting and mass spectrometry.
- You have strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- You are able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Previous experience in a research laboratory setting is preferred.
- You speak fluent English and German.
