Job Description
The System Administrator will provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification diagnosis and resolution of problems. Experience required to support the implementation troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. The System Administrator will be part of a team evaluating system and hardware problems and will be responsible for the resolution process. They will configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and will install/ load operating system software troubleshoot maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Experience with Container Technology: Administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX systems administering clustered storage solutions (e.g. storage appliances Ceph) Kubernetes orchestrated containers system configuration management software (e.g. Puppet Ansible) and change control.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Ten 10 years of experience as a SA in programs and contract of similar scope type and complexity is required.
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five(5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
- Active Security Clearance Required

Geon Technologies provides wage ranges in accordance with the Maryland Wage Range Transparency law. Paywithin the range will be decided by the company in its sole discretion and will be based on several factors including but not limited to experience and/or other qualifications. The projected pay range for this position is $175000 $250000.
