JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision this positionensures The River brand experience is being executed strategically at all events. Supports this mission through creation and of highlevel event experiences and environments. Works directly with guests to create branded event & environment design through the exceptional use of Audio Video and Lighting Equipment while assisting in other event setup needs. Develops and enhances relationships withstakeholder groups. Holds and manages current and future vendor partnerships in cooperation with the Director of Event Strategy and Management. Supports branch campuses charter schools and other partnership entities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes assigned work orders provides notes and records labor hours. 40
  • Transports sets up tears down and stores event equipment 20
  • Assists with custodial tech grounds security tasks as needed. 15
  • Communicates with guests and leadership ensuring events success. 10
  • Completes preventive maintenance inventory organization and varying tasks. 5
  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 5

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum five 5 years of professional experience in events setup & logistics or any equivalent combination of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job or equivalent experience pertaining to the positions responsibilities preferably in a higher education or nonprofit setting;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Proven knowledge of event equipment setup breakdown and transport.
  • Ability to interact with the public support staff faculty and College administrators in a professional timely and confidential manner.
  • Ability to manage a diverse array of activities with quick turnaround times and flexibility to adapt to new challenges that arise with short notice.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting more than 50 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files ledgers and small tools. This job requires a good deal of walking or standing or some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully the employee must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Additionally all employees of the College are expected to maintain professional standards of communication able to learn and apply new technology and abide by all policies and procedures. Continued employment remains on an atwill basis.

Must be flexible to work nights and weekends to coordinate events held on college properties or outside communities.
