Job Description
A wellestablished law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its Los Angeles CA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to grow within a dynamic and nationally recognized Insurance Coverage Practice. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills a solid understanding of insurance law and the ability to manage complex coverage matters. This role offers the chance to work on highlevel cases collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals and develop expertise in a broad range of insurance coverage issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 10 years analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions on firstparty property and general liability matters.
- Litigation Skills: Experience with depositions court hearings and drafting and arguing motions.
- Research & Writing: Strong analytical research and writing skills required.
- Licensure: Admission to the California Bar is required.
About the Practice:
This team focuses on interpreting insurance contracts and representing insurers in complex coverage claims including:
- Monitoring mediation arbitration and declaratory relief litigation.
- Representation in both state and federal courts nationwide.
- Serving a broad range of clients including primary and excess insurers reinsurers TPAs MGAs insurance brokers agents and independent adjusters.
- Handling matters across multiple lines of business.
Expectations & Skills:
- Draft and respond to discovery and pleadings.
- Argue motions in court.
- Conduct legal research and draft complex coverage opinions.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
