The Pharmacy Resident enhances the quality of patient care by influencing safe appropriate and costeffective pharmacotherapeutics through verifying medication orders consulting with doctors and nurses on the appropriate dosing and selection of therapeutic alternatives for patients and assisting the physician by monitoring the metabolic and nutritional needs of the patient. The Pharmacy Resident is a clinical pharmacist in training who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution clinical services and teaching. The resident provides services consistent with other services provided by all types of pharmacists at Womans Hospital.
