Job Description

Location: Scotland North EastYorkshire Derbyshire

We are expanding our Sales team and introducing a new role of Business Development Manager. This is an exciting time to join our team as we introduce this key role that will drive market expansion and improve access to care for patients.

In essence the Business Development Manager works in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Team to build partnerships with Consultants and other Senior Healthcare professionals. This role is predominately focused within secondary care with the aim of developing and expanding services to give patients increased access to intermittent catheterisation and SpeediCath products.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Work closely with Territory Manager and Regional Business Leader to drive key accounts to grow sales
  • Develop expand and implement IC services within secondary care across the region
  • Develops appropriate service solutions and business cases in line with funding patient and referral flows influence key decision makers enabling the solution to be embedded in the trust
  • Develops impactful relationships with all customers with a focus on Consultants and other senior stakeholders
  • Effectively maintain relationships and target accounts across the region
  • Leverage Consultant support where Territory Managers and Regional Business Leaders are looking to unlock formularies in the community
  • Designs KPIs to track monitor and proactively review service delivery
  • Coordinate and deliver educational events involving Consultants and other senior strategic stakeholders
  • Ensure the service aligns to the CCG strategy working in close alignment with the relevant NHS Partnership Manager
  • Identify Key Opinion Leaders and potential product and brand advocates. Connect with these KOLs and develop partnerships
  • Lead adhoc Projects aligned to our annual business planning process
  • Lead a monthly business review with your RBL and internal stakeholders. Deliver on agreed actions in line with Regional Business Plan
  • Work Collaboratively with the other IC BDMs to share initiatives and best practice

Experience requirements:

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate experience in the following:

  • Experience of working within acute Urology/Neurology Services (Preferred)
  • Understand and maintain knowledge of the NHS environment funding and patient flow and be confident to talk to customers about the implications of the NHS environment on proposals
  • Experience and understanding of how NHS services are designed and reengineered
  • Product and clinical knowledge with experience of working in a medical/pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience of developing business cases including analysing data from different sources to find insights and opportunities
  • Experience of managing a geographically and senior range of stakeholders including having worked successfully with consultants
  • Strong experience within Secondary care with a track record of delivering formularies and/or therapy development
  • Field based Sales experience and account management skills
  • Full Driving Licence
