Join our team as a Senior Manager Global Trade Technology Management and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of cuttingedge military and avionics technologies across borders. In this highly specialized position you will leverage your expertise in export and import regulations specifically CCL USML and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification determination to support our Global Trade program and technology management initiatives. Youll collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams especially in engineering to drive results and implement policies that keep us in line with global trade laws.

What YOU Will Do:

  • Working under/within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR) International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and HTS.
  • Perform most sophisticated export classification (JC) analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation supplier issues etc.
  • Perform HS classifications globally.
  • Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
  • Support Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies.
  • Support development and delivery of formal and informal JC and HS classifier training.
  • Support nonUS Global Trade program
  • Lead projects with crossfunctional teams with little direction
  • Identify program gaps develop gap closure plans and drive to success


What YOU Will Learn:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of U.S. export and import regulations including the EAR ITAR and HS as they apply to advanced avionics technologies.
  • Gain handson experience in performing sophisticated jurisdiction classification (JC) analyses resolving escalations and collaborating with customers to ensure compliance with global trade requirements.
  • Enhance your investigative skills by supporting reviews of potential Global Trade (GT) escapes determining root causes and implementing corrective actions that drive process improvements across the business unit.
  • Build your leadership capabilities by developing and delivering specialized training on jurisdiction classification and HS to internal teams becoming a goto expert in global trade compliance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree 14 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a US person as only U.S. persons are authorized to access technical information under this program/contract
  • Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations;specificallythe EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL)ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • BS/MSEngineeringorBusiness Administration
  • Engineering and/or technical background
  • Aerospace (program/technical) experience
  • Experience withclassifications under theWorldCustomsOrganization(WCO)HS
  • 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HS classification matters
  • Experience withCollins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications authorizations logging compliant transfer modes record keeping etc. and Collins specific GT related systems (GTS OCRMKDenial xClass TEXPORT) is a plus

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
