We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a handson electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems wed like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the worlds largest information system infrastructures.
Key job responsibilities
SAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a worldclass safety culture. As a facility owner team ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPSs) Switchgear Circuit Breakers Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs) Diesel Generators Chillers Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) Exhaust Fans Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Transformers.
oTroubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
oTake daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/logtaking (temperatures voltages currents etc.
oSupervise contractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
oDriving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
oProvide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in
recruiting efforts.
oLead the root cause analysis for operational issues and conduct meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to finalize mitigation strategies.
Physical requirements
Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
Ability to work shifts (morning late and night)
Oncall rotation reaction to offduty emergency calls
Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection
Perform physical tasks during the shift

Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical/ Mechanical field or equivalent recognized training.
Broad operational knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical equipment.
Good English communication
Data Center engineering experience or relevant jobrelated experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
Familiar with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
