Meet the team:

Dexcom is seeking a Facilities Engineer Audio Visual Systems to partner with our IT colleagues and lead the Facilities responsibilities for AV system design standards installations and support across multiple global facilities. This role requires a visionary engineer who can oversee complex AV projects manage crossfunctional teams and vendors to ensure highperformance AV solutions that align with the companys evolving needs.

Where you come in:

  • As the Facilities department primary Point of Contact for AV systems you will collaborate with our global AV vendor and the Dexcom IT department to drive innovation optimize existing systems maximize system uptime and ensure the seamless integration of AV technology into Dexcoms business.

What makes you successful:

  • In collaboration with Dexcom IT define and document the Facilities Engineering Standards and Architecture for AV including data and power provision and cabling AV room design and materials of construction for acoustics etc.
  • In collaboration with Dexcom IT and global AV vendor develop AV designs for new offices and existing office upgrades ensuring that the Facilities components are communicated appropriately to project teams.
  • Provide high priority Troubleshooting/breakfix/setup/event support service to high profile Dexcom San Diego locations and events.
  • In collaboration with Dexcom IT monitor AV vendor performance against their SLA to continually improve service including planning technical issue and service feedback escalations and communications.
  • Be a key stakeholder for new AV buildouts being a member of the planning team attending all related meetings and managing the project components related to AV. Ensure the AV vendor meets the requested milestones by the project timelines.
  • Establish regional incidental budget for AV support outside vendor contract obligations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or a related field 5 years of experience in AV systems design integration and support. Demonstrated leadership of internal and external AV engineers. Expertise in AV technologies including video conferencing systems (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams) sound systems projectors and control systems (e.g. Crestron Extron) Strong background in AV integration with IT networks including IPbased AV solutions. Proven experience managing AV projects including budgeting and vendor management Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • CTSD (Design)
  • Crestron
  • Extron
  • CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association)

Experience managing AV systems in large corporate or multifacility environments Knowledge of cloudbased AV solutions and remote management tools Digital signage Application Administration (Appspace)

Work Environment:

Ability to travel to Dexcoms global facilities for project management installation and maintenance as required Ability to manage onsite and remote AV teams effectively
