Overview
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologists (Special Procedures Technologist) to support the Richmond VA Medical Center located at1201 Broad Rock Blvd Richmond VA 23249. The schedule is typically MondayFriday 8:00am4:30pm with oncall duties. If you accept employment with Ansible you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities
- Provides IR Imaging care covering the range of services that would be provided in a stateoftheart civilian medical treatment facility at a standard of care that equals or exceeds VA Standards and the TJC
- Adheres to the ARRT Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards in the science of radiology to improve the quality of services to VA patients
- Promotes the safe and effective use of diagnostic radiology through the utilization of specific training skills and techniques
- Performs organspecific and subspecialtyspecific imaging including:
- Abdomen
- Pelvis
- Neuroradiology Imaging
- Cardiovascular/Extremity
- Vascular
- Performs related administrative tasks
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a CHEA and JCERTaccredited Technologist training program
- ARRT (R) is required ARRT (VI) is preferred
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- A minimum of two 2 years of proven clinical experience in IR Imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting
- Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months
- Prior work experience with the GE Innova 3100 Biplane GE Innova 4100 CT/Angiography Single Plane and Toshiba Biplane and CT/Angiography Single Plane is preferred
- Prior VA experience is desirable
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
