Positon Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: The Implementation Specialist provides the highest quality software application training to our clients. The IS supports and trains our clients in various situations related to the learning and use of our products and services.The Infusion Therapy Manager Training Specialist promotes DSS Inc.s mission by providing the highest level of care and training to our clients. Experienced candidates will be well versed in Oncology medical care and handson implementation of EHR software. Having an infusion center or clinical background with experience in cancer care is preferred. When not onsite candidate will work from home in a dedicated workspace and must have reliable internet service. Candidate must live within 30 miles of a major airport.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Travel approximately 36 weeks per year to include weekends and holidays when necessary while abiding by Training Services Department Employee Handbook
  • Responsible for making travel arrangements in accordance with DSS and Training Services policy
  • Creation and delivery of Training Plans Class Agendas Web Based Presentations and Training Materials
  • Reviews application set up with appropriate staff
  • Provide onsite in person training in both classroom settings and one on one mentoring formats
  • Provide onsite support during customer Go Live
  • Delivers product demonstrations to potential or existing clients as well as internal staff
  • Submits signed onsite certification documents upon completion of training
  • Timely and accurate submission of Training Reports monthly expenses and timekeeping
  • Assists Product Training Coordinator with scheduling onsite and remote training to be completed within contracted timelines

Other Duties:

  • Delivers product demonstrations to potential or existing clients as well as internal staff
  • Works closely with the product team to troubleshoot and resolve technical or application issues to ensure a smooth implementation
  • Create and maintain Training Documentation
  • Reviews application set up with appropriate staff
  • Understands and evaluates Clinical Workflow Process
  • Responsible for verbal and written communication with clients and documentation of work activities and work processes
  • Abides by policies set forth in DSS and Departmental Handbook including Timesheet and Expense submissions

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA FedRAMP and NIST 80053. Additionally they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the daytoday performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the highrisk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Qualifications

Skills:

Required:

  • Understanding of clinical workflows
  • Prior EMR / EHR implementation
  • Excellent listening skills and clear and concise presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word Excel PPT)
  • Aptitude for understanding technical processes and the ability to learn new software as needed
  • Hands on clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Desired:

  • Prior experience working with Providers Infusion Clinic Staff Pharmacists Nurses
  • Fluent in the terminology used in the technical specialty that the product has been designed to support.
  • Ability to analyze comprehend and apply information/data

Education:

  • Required:
    • Bachelors degree
    • Equivalent experience or combination of education and experience considered
  • Desired:
    • Professional training in a medical discipline

Certification(s) Licenses:

  • Required:
    • RN LPN Pharm D R.Ph. COA CMHP (or similar)
  • Desired:
    • Training Focused Certifications

Years of experience in a similar role:

  • Required:
    • 3 years prior clinical software implementation experience
  • Desired:
    • Prior VA or commercial Implementation experience
