Vessel CloseOut Specialist
Role Summary:
Responsible for the successful of the Vessel Closeout process. Efficiently reconcile port pairs with terminals to ensure intended containers load vessels with everything required to be exported. Provides knowledge about nonstandard vessel closeout issues to internal/external parties. Research and respond to routine/nonroutine customer issues/problems and make recommendations for solutions to nonstandard issues. Trace containers within rail websites for advancing rolling and reducing shipments; submit reports to US Customs. Track and trace shipper documents required for containers to load to intended vessels. Act as liaison with Company and port operations documentation and customer service. Incumbent will report directly to the Supervisor; Vessel Close Out Export Customer Service.
Additional Responsibilities:

FunctionSpecific Required Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of reefer dangerous goods breakbulk shipments and overdimensional cargo preferred
Knowledge of export rail processes preferred
Understanding of U.S. Customs requirements preferred
Good experience with Excel / Google Sheetsanalytical tools.
Required Minimum Years Experience:
2 years of logistics / shipping experience
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree Preferred
