Job Title: Medical Administrator

Location: Birmingham

Days: MondayFriday

Contract: 3 Months with a view to Permanent

Rate: 14.80 per hour

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Medical Administrator to join our team. The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of a medical facility including coordinating patient schedules maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars for medical staff
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate insurance and billing processes
  • Oversee office supplies and equipment inventory
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Provide administrative support to medical staff
  • Communicate effectively with patients staff and external parties
  • Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical administration or a related field
  • Proficiency in office management software and electronic medical records systems
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Understanding of medical terminology and procedures
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Certification in medical administration or related field is a plus

Daytoday

  • Collaborating with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Updating and maintaining patient records
  • Coordinating insurance and billing processes
  • Managing office supplies and equipment inventory
  • Communicating with patients regarding appointments and inquiries
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
