What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Thermal System Design:
    • Lead the design and development of thermal management solutions for powertrain cabin and under hood thermal systems.
    • Help establish requirements where needed.
  • Simulation and Analysis:
    • Help establish detailed simulation and analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of thermal components.
    • Implement design improvements based on simulation results to enhance overall system reliability.
    • Ensure all thermal safety related designs are fully characterized and understood.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of thermal engineers to ensure highperformance and continuous improvement.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
    • Oversee the prototyping and testing of thermal components to validate design performance.
    • Analyze test data and implement necessary adjustments to improve system efficiency.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with power electronics engineers control systems engineers and software developers to integrate thermal solutions seamlessly.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support the production and assembly of thermal components.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed design documentation specifications and reports for thermal system components.
    • Maintain accurate records of design changes and iterations.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi Michigan.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with inperson meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Thermal Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years experience in thermal system design (engine cooling and thermal component protection experience).
  • Leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading and developing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools and analysis of thermal systems.
  • Handson experience with prototyping and testing of thermal components.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Pay Transparency

This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $170000.00 $190000.00
