Job Description
Position Summary: Provide Athletic Training Services to a local high school/college in coordination with physicians at Upstate Orthopedics. Infrequently provide patient care support in a clinic setting.
Current High School Opening: Bishop Grimes
25 hours/week with 15 hours/week clinic or assistance at other schools
Responsibilities:
Availability after school hours to provide care to student athletes as schedule allows
Provide home game coverage to assigned school.
Travel with Varsity Football to away games as schedule allows.
Provide care in injury prevention evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries first aid and emergency care.
Documentation of Injuries/Illness
Assist Athletic Director as needed
Proper Referral to overseeing Physician
Abide by standing orders with Physician and scope of practice in NYS
Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training
Current BOC Athletic Training Certification
Current NYS Athletic Training Licensure from Dept. of Education
BLS CPR/AED Certification American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Monday Friday flexed second shift some Saturdays as needed
