Qualifications
The Cloud Operations Engineer will focus on transitioning the team from traditional data center operations to a cloudcentric approach modernizing services and improving operational capabilities. This role is critical in steering the organization towards a modern efficient and clouddriven operation elevating both team skills and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects that transition traditional data center operations to the cloud.
- Modernize existing services to align with cloud best practices.
- Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Ensure disaster recovery processes are followed and periodically tested.
- Provide mentorship and training to enhance the teams cloud skills and capabilities.
- Collaborate with customers to design and implement cloudcentric server solutions.
- Develop automation and DevOps strategies to improve efficiency and performance.
- Implement strategic approaches by replacing legacy technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in cloudbased infrastructure and services (AWS Azure GCP).
- Experience in cloudbased infrastructure and services (AWS Azure GCP).
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Experience in automation and DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Effective communication skills to articulate complex technological concepts.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications (AWS Azure GCP)
- Experience with serverless cloud IaaS and PaaS
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform Powershell Bash Python
- Previous experience in a similar cloud operations role
- Proven track record of modernizing systems and services to cloud environments.
- Familiarity with SQL service modernization
- Strong Linux and Windows troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to foster team growth and development in a fastpaced environment
This position is based in Charlotte NC.
