- OR High School diploma or GED; AND
- Five 5 years of experience in accounting or budgeting which evidences a comprehensive knowledge of regulations & procedures governing fiscal activities.
JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY): - Reconciles expenditures with CFIS reports from ODJFS and makes recommendations for adjustments and/or corrections. Prepares monthly expenditure reports. Prepares other reports as required
- Monitors and projects revenue and expenditures against County appropriations. Monitors and reports expenditures to Section chiefs and/or staff responsible for budgeted OCA
- Monitors expenditures against State Allocations and/or grants.
- Assists in preparing annual County budget.
- Enters and monitors Random Moment Studies (RMS).
- Completes cash draw request for respective funds and enters into CFIS for draw. Monitors cash balances in funds.
- Meets with Section Chiefs and/or other department staff.
- Attends conferences and training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*Indicates can be developed after employment) - Knowledge of:budgeting; bookkeeping; accounting; management; agency policies and procedures*; government structure and process.
- Ability to: define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions; add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers; understand manuals and verbal instructions technical in nature; gather collate and classify information about data people or things; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public.
ESSENTIAL JOB FACTORS: - Must undergo a background check via the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI). Must have a car valid drivers license issued by the state of residency and required auto liability insurance.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: POSITIONS SUPERVISED: May vary depending on the assigned work.
