Shift: Days Shift length: 8 HoursPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Editor supports and reports to Enloe Healths Managing Editor. As a member of the Marketing & Communications team the Associate Editor is responsible for helping review and edit the materials produced within the department to ensure they adhere to the Enloe Health brand voice and tone and are error free. Having mastered AP style the Associate Editor will learn Enloes style guide and brand voice inside and out. The successful candidate will work alongside fellow members of the Marketing & Communications team providing thoughtful feedback that will elevate works and ensure highquality experiences for the intended audiences. This position will also produce compelling editorial content as needed for a variety of projects including internal and external communication initiatives patient education materials newsletters news releases audio/visual presentations reports booklets flyers and brochures related to Enloe and its programs. The position will also help identify grant opportunities support applying for them and help track the progress of those applications. During disasters and crisis situations the Associate Editor will support necessary crisis communications. This position is responsible for editing a large volume of projects quickly and with accuracy plus helping track marketing requests to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion. Attention to detail and excellent organization skills are a must.The Associate Editor supports the mission of Enloe Health by building awareness and preference of Enloes mission vision values and services. The Associate Editor will demonstrate the values of Enloe Health and serve as a role model to other employees.

Supporting the Managing Editor the Associate Editor will quickly and accurately copy edit materials to create consistent and compelling brand experiences for the community and the patients Enloe Health serves. The position is responsible for following and enforcing AP style as well as the Enloe Health style guide to ensure works reflect Enloes voice tone and style. This position also keeps the Enloe Health style guide up to date and makes updates as needed. The position requires strong editing and writing skills the ability to facilitate and develop consensus among key stakeholders and a desire to produce materials that communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.The position will work closely with fellow members of the Marketing & Communications team to provide feedback and copy edits that elevate materials. As needed the Associate Editor will produce editorial content for a variety of internal and external communication initiatives. The position will also support grant writing opportunities including but not limited to identifying grants collecting necessary information to apply and tracking submissions.The Associate Editor will support the completion of marketing requests ensuring that tasks get completed well and in a timely manner. A thorough knowledge of AP style is a must.
The successful candidate must have initiative work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment and must be experienced in utilizing Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite) tools to manage and execute assignments. Strategic organizational and multitasking skills are essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills are key as is the ability to collaborate with large teams and the ability to coordinate employees to meet project deadlines. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
