DESCRIPTION The Pipe Services Project Manager is responsible for developing plans to achieve project milestones and to minimize costs for projects or components of projects valued less than $5 $50 million. The Project Manager will place a crucial role in planning executing and delivering projects within scope budget and schedule. This position requires exceptional leadership communication and problemsolving skills to manage crossfunctional teams and ensure project success. This position will be based out of our Coquitlam office located in British Columbia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees vendors and customers and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to project objectives budget and schedule.
Develop comprehensive project plans including scope schedule budget resource allocation and risk assessment.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project requirements goals and deliverables.
Lead and motivate crossfunctional project teams providing clear direction support and guidance.
Monitor and track project progress identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Manage project budgets expenses and cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
Liaise with clients architects engineers subcontractors and suppliers to foster effective communication and collaboration.
Oversee procurement activities including bid analysis vendor selection and contract negotiations.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project processes and outcomes.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Engineering degree or equivalent with 812 years in large construction projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million
Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Related construction experience in the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure utilizing various techniques including CuredinPlacePipe (CIPP) SprayedinPlacePipe (SIPP) and Sliplining.
Strong knowledge of construction processes methodologies and industry best practices. Expertise in fields such as civil sewer construction and trenchless rehabilitation is an asset.
Experience with: MS Office Suite MS Project or P6 Primavera.
