Responsible for providing high quality direct patient care and assisting providers and other clinical staff with patient care and other clinical and administrative duties in a professional manner. Ability to competently and skillfully perform all clinical and clerical functions including but not limited to: vital signs patient interview electronic documentation screening tools lab/specimen prep point of care collection and processing filing processing records answering phones verifying insurance scheduling appointments and processing referrals. Must provide ageappropriate care in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the patient served.

Essential Functions:
Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks and clinical duties including but not limited to obtaining and recording patient medical histories receiving and directing phone calls ensuring successful completion of all forms
Maintaining medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep the medical equipment operating
Preparing patients for examination by performing physical tests take vitals reporting patient history summary
Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations
Counseling patients by transmitting physicians orders and questions about the treatment
Delivering attention compassionate support and assistance to patients and families
Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA OSHA etc.
Aides staff physicians and other faculty as needed
Performs additional jobrelated duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Firm grasp on medical practices administrative processes and organizational policies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in administrative tasks
Must be highly organized and detailoriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems
Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response
Demonstrates ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
One year of prior experience in a medical setting preferred
