Job Description

Position Summary
As part of a major multiyear initiative to expand research activities across the IU Bloomington campus the Departments of Physics https://physics.indiana and Chemistry https://chem.indiana invite applications for two tenure positions at the Associate or Full Professor rank to begin in the Fall of 2023 (with additional positions expected to be filled in the coming years). We are particularly interested in researchers working in areas of quantum simulation nanophotonics quantum sensing quantum materials nanomaterials electrocatalysis or photocatalysis. Candidates are expected to have an established record of research achievement and external funding. Candidates who conduct research that complements our ongoing activities and contributes to our expansion in these areas are preferred. Ongoing efforts include numerous activities within the interdepartmental Quantum Science and Engineering Center https://qsec.sitehost.iu (including work in quantum simulation algorithms chemistry and sensing) as well as within the two departments on materials and catalysis.
