Job Description
Description of the role:
The Tutor position at Tutor Doctor North County San Diego is a rewarding opportunity to help high school students excel in Biology. As a Tutor you will have the chance to work oneonone inhome with students providing personalized instruction and support to help them develop a strong understanding of Biology concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized oneonone tutoring sessions for high school students in Biology
- Use the homework quizzes and tests they provide to build a plan to help them stay at grade level and improve their grades
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student
- Write session reports for parents after each session
- Help with executive functioning skills such as study skills time management and prioritization.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Biology concepts at the high school level
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse learning styles and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Highly organized and detailoriented
