Heres how a(n)Equipment Supervisorfor our US PICCooffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of direct and/or indirect reports including mentoring and coaching career management and performance management responsibilities performancepotential rating recommendations and influencing salary and bonus reviews for direct reports. Monitor and delegate tasks related to onboarding and training of employees and assist in recruiting and other staffing decisions.
  • Liaise with PCL district personnel and travel to site as required to arrange repairs for PCLowned equipmentthis includes assisting in setting up equipment repair and maintenance vendors.
  • Review and approve equipment repairs for the Houston district. This includes district invoices purchase orders and thirdparty invoices.
  • Work with vendors/manufacturers on equipment repair needs and warranty claims.
  • Oversee service subcontracts for service and repairs to PCLowned fleet the preventive maintenance program including software development and maintenance and GPS tracking systems for PCLowned fleet of equipment in North America.
  • Participate in the HSE program providing potential impacts that have arisen from safety investigations regarding PCL equipment in the USA.
  • Oversee purchasing operations at the PCL repair facility shop and yard including parts inventory management warehouse management procurement of parts and sourcing of thirdparty service providers.
  • Provide information for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Evaluates equipment for disposal in Houston and submit Authorization for Disposal (AFDs) for approval as required.
  • Develops and maintains strong customerfocused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of equipment repair and/ or service experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline or journeyman certificate (e.g. heavyduty mechanic automotive) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to facilitate conflict resolution internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of construction equipment with a focus on service and repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge related to equipment repair and service.
  • Intermediate ability to analyze quotes and recommend repair/service.
  • Experience with lifecycle management software an asset.
