Job Description
In this role you will have an exciting opportunity to become a summer intern you will be part of the CGHB Europe Underwriting / Actuarial team based in Glasgow. You will bring analytical capabilities to the team by optimizing the current processes and developing analytical solutions to support the decisionmaking process requiring the development of a detailed understanding of KPIs and specificities of both international and domestic businesses. You will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects in different department of the Cigan business which will enhance you overall skill set.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Underwriting & Actuarial processes optimization & efficiencies
- Work on induvial and collaborative projects
- Risk appetite on Underwriting & Actuarial
- Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse and propose enhancements (at department and organization level)
- Manage specific underwriting requests in terms of data (drilldown)
Scope and Dimensions
Report to Underwriting / Actuarial Manager. Includes a knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the business. Requires coordination and integration with every department including:
- Actuarial
- Underwriting
- Reporting
- Finance
- Systems
- Legal services
- Operational teams
Experience/Education Required
- Must be studying a degree which is relatable to Actuarial Mathematics Statistics Accountancy or Finance
- Vital that you are currently in 3rd year of your academic studies to be eligible for our summer paid internships which commence in June 2025
- High level of numeracy and problemsolving skills
- Data analysis and business intelligence
