We are currently recruiting to our Supported Living Service
Caring and reliableSupport Workersto work within theChorley Domiciliary ServiceinAdult Social CareatLancashire County Council.
We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support to come and join our team. Our Domiciliary Service require multiple Support Workers to join us in making a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.
You will be welcomed into peoples homes and make their daytoday routine something to look forward to with your upbeat attitude and friendly persona. It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role with qualifications on offer its a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career to be proud of!
We have various hours on offer which will include some sleepins & weekend working 20 hours 25 hours 30 hours 32 hours and 37 hours per week.

Passion we want to recruit people with a passion to make a difference to the people we supports lives providing much needed support like its second nature your commitment to the people we support will be life changing in the work you do bringing comfort with a warm smile and a cup of tea you will become indispensable supporting people with personal care household chores finances medication and anything else they require in their day to day life you will support people into the community to participate in activities keeping their spirits high maybe a shopping trip or outdoor activities whatever it takes to bring them smiles and happiness you will be changing outlooks and breaking down those barriers that they face on a daily basis.
Empathy & Resilience you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathic nature is of upmost importance you will need bags of motivation and be able to keep going even on the more difficult days the needs of our service users can be complex and you may face challenging behaviour but your determination and dedication to excellent care will make it feel easy it is essential that you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.

The Adult Disability Service also promotes career development opportunities with various qualifications and training on offer you will be able to take advantage of a QCF qualification (Qualifications and Credit Framework) which is NVQ Level 3 equivalent we also have very supportive management team who ensure all team members are guided great culture and youll be working alongside people with the same values as your own.
