Job Description
This is a 100 fulltime position based in our spacious office in Toronto at YongeSheppard.

PheedLoop isnt like other startups out there. Were a bootstrapped company that has been profitable since day one. Were growing quickly but sustainably and are looking for new team members to own some brand new exciting features to come. Were looking for someone comfortable with diving through the entire stack to solve problems and keen enough to learn whatever is necessary to do so. Were also a small and closeknit team so beyond just engineering having an interest in the rest of the company and a collaborative mindset is a must.
Your Day to Day
- Individual code contribution across our backend and frontend applications.
- Building new and optimizing existing REST API endpoints.
- Following technical design specifications provided by the team lead.
- Building beautiful pixelperfect user interfaces.
- Participate in peer code review and QA.
- Staying up to date with industry trends tools and best practices.
- Communicate regularly with team lead and members.
- Gain familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
- Handle postdeployment testing and troubleshooting.
- Use logging and monitoring tools to identify troubleshoot and fix issues.
Requirements
- Familiarity with a backend development framework (Python/Django preferred).
- Working understanding of a frontend development framework (React preferred).
- Understanding of REST API concepts and basic integration.
- Exposure to working with relational databases.
- Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Demonstrated interest in software development such as personal projects.
- Eager to receive mentorship and continuously improve skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team.
- Keen problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
