Position: PreKindergarten Instructional Assistant

Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 3:30 PM

Job Summary:
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic PreKindergarten Instructional Assistant to join our early learning team! This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher and creating a nurturing caring environment where young learners grow socially emotionally and academically. The ideal candidate will provide handson assistance with classroom activities student supervision and daily routines while fostering a joyful and engaging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the PreKindergarten lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Supervise and engage with PreK students in a safe structured and supportive environment.
Foster a warm and inclusive classroom that supports socialemotional development.
Help lead fun ageappropriate activities including art music movement and outdoor play.
Provide individualized support to students as needed.
Assist children with snack time transitions and selfcare routines.
Ensure classroom organization cleanliness and preparation of learning materials.
Encourage positive behavior and assist with classroom management strategies.
Communicate effectively with teachers students and families to support student success.
Follow Archdiocesan Safe Environment training requirements and Washington state childcare regulations for school staff.

Qualifications:

Experience working with young children (ages 35 in a school or childcare setting preferred.
Patience creativity and a passion for early childhood education.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage small groups of children in a structured yet playful learning environment.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Salary:

$21/hour to $28/hour
Final salary is determined based on internal equity market data applicant skills prior experience degrees and certifications.
