What Youll Do Here
- Work effectively in a team environment and support other estimators and mangers in the department
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Develop strategies and scope breakdown structures to support the estimate development process
- Support the Bid Manager throughout the entire proposal development duration
- Participation and understanding of both design/build and buildtospec contracts
- Review and interpret project drawings specifications lists and other technical documentation
- Responsible for the accurate takeoff of quantities preparation of detailed estimates while following company policies and estimating procedures
- Utilize construction estimating software to compile detailed estimate information
- Estimate Preparation labour hours / headcounts material costs; tools & equipment costs; scheduling durations; and compile bid packages for subcontractors and/or equipment suppliers
- Analyzes subtrade quotations liaison with subcontractors for clarification of issues
- Attend estimate kickoff and approval meetings with management to review estimate details assumptions and risk factors
- Determine estimated construction durations for job forecasting and project scheduling
What You Bring To The Team
- Electrical Construction experience in Industrial Installations (Gas Compression Petrochemical Mining Automotive Steel etc) an asset
- Prior Estimating / Operational experience an asset
- Experience as a Project Coordinator on Electrical Projects an asset
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and contract documents
- Strong Computer Skills Knowledge of Acubid Hard Doller Primevera P6
- Adabpital to flexible work schedules
