Job Description
The Electronics Technician Maintenance III position supports the Army Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract. This is a fulltime nonexempt OCONUS position living and working in Kuwait City Kuwait.
Job duties include:
- Performs all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment perform PMCS troubleshoot and isolate faults use spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines research and select repair parts needed and enter work order data in the online management information system.
- Applies advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and isolate electronic equipment faults that cannot be solved solely by referencing technical manuals.
- Performs such tasks as replacing components wiring circuits repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters signal generators and oscilloscopes.
- May interface with FMS customers working at foreign installations; contact company personnel to resolve nonstandard maintenance issues; and provide technical advice and advanced troubleshooting procedures within established guidelines and company responsibilities.
- Will be crosstrained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.
Requirements
- 3 years past experience as an Electronics Technician Maintenance or related position.
- Prefer past work experience with repairing military computerbased simulation devices or related equipment.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid drivers license. Must be able to read and understand manufacturers manuals or technical documents.
- Must be able to travel on temporary duty to other installations to perform mainentance.
- Must be US Citizen.
- Must be able to meet requirements to obtain Work Permit and Residency Visa in Kuwait
