Job Summary
Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our parttime Nursing adjunct faculty pool. ON GROUND ONLY.
These are temporary parttime positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular fulltime faculty are not available due to increased enrollment workload or scheduling: days evenings weekends and/or online.
Job Duties:
Plans and carries out instruction instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress. Maintains classroom order and discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
Nursing Faculty teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: masters degree in Nursing; or bachelors degree in Nursing if program meets accreditation standards for ratio of masters to bachelors degree nurses.
Nurse Aide Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: bachelors degree in the teaching discipline or associates degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Nurse Aide requires current licensure.
Clinical Supervision Bachelors degree in qualifying fields preferred. Functions under supervision of fulltime faculty.
All nursing faculty must hold current Registered Nurse licensure in Kentucky or compact state.
