Job Description
Responsibilities
- Install operate repair and maintain all facility systems (including cottages) relating to HVAC mechanical electrical electronic and construction.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical equipment malfunctions using technical manuals and blueprints as reference. Work in conjunction with vendors under contract for major repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair residential appliances by using provided diagnostic tool/software.
- Perform swimming pool water chemistry testing.
- Install operate repair and maintain all facility systems relating to mechanical electrical electronic and construction.
- Diagnose and correct basic mechanical equipment malfunctions.
- Perform routine tests and inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems and maintain service and repair records.
- Follow the schedule of preventative maintenance as assigned by supervisors.
- Act as the first respondent when the fire alarms systems activate.
Qualifications
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- OnCall rotation with other Plant Ops associates.
- Ability to safely exercise evaluate and maintain residential generators.
- Ability to diagnose and repair residential appliances by using GE diagnostic tool.
- Strong knowledge and ability to work on swimming pool water chemistry. Must maintain a CPO Certification.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least 5years of combined experience working as a maintenance mechanic or a related field of study.
- CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) certified. Certification needs to be obtained within the first year of employment.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certified. Certification needs to be obtained within the first year of employment.
- Must possess a valid drivers license in the state of Virginia and can be insured under the companys insurance program.
