A DAY IN THE LIFE:

TheSr.Scrum Master I is responsible forfacilitatingthe scrum processas practiced by the Tandem development team. This includes coordinating daily scrums, sprint planning, backlog grooming, as well as providing visibility to the progress and performance of the group. Will lead scrum teams that are focused on designing, developing, formally validating, and deployingweb/mobile/cloudsoftware features.

• Coordinate, organize and facilitate scrum ceremoniesincludingstandup, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospective, demos
• Coachand enforceagileprinciplesto teamso that we can quickly adapt and improve
• Own and manage the sprint backlog including epics/stories/tasks/tickets with help from product owner on priority
• Work with product owners and development teams toorganize scope,plan release versions, project schedule, communicate expectationsand achieve customer satisfaction
• Instill good team culture by being energetic, positive, approachable, reliable and by being available to provide support when needed
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and also translate technical specifications into end user experiences
• Support theteam in requirement tracking, ensuring we have proper coverage for different features and their releases
• Own software requirement specifications and be the main point of contact for SRS questions
• Act as product owner liaison when necessary and know when to pull in product owner for decisions

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understand technical aspects to spot gaps in design
• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• A positive approach to people and problem solutions along with a strong sense of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Expertatestimating, scoping, and sprintplanning
• Ability to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raisedcomfortably
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

EXTRA AWESOME:

• First level Scrum Master certification (CSM). Preferably via Mountain Goat Software with Mike Cohn.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field orequivalentcombination of

  education and applicablejobexperiencepreferred.

• 6plusyears of experience in a software development environment
• Jira/Confluence experience
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: user stories, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, agile games
