Job Description

  • We're looking for a Social & Influencer Lead to help boost our brand presence across social media platforms whilst attracting new customers through exciting and innovative campaigns during the launch/expansion phase of the business and beyond.
  • You will be part of the Egypt marketing team and will be presented with the unique opportunity to help establish the brand and drive mass awareness for our growing tech start-up.

  • Lead the delivery and execution of Venu’s social media strategy in Egypt.
  • Develop campaign strategies based on market and user research and insights, operations, PR and business intelligence teams to improve market share.
  • Be the primary contact for our social media agency partner and will be responsible for the liaison and communication with key internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the operations teams to build operational processes that support our aspirations to build customer and driver-partners relationships on social.
  • Work cross-functionally and with the marketing team across the company to help establish the systems and processes that will consistently drive our business growth.
  • Support on Media budget evaluation including financial reconciliations.
  • Create monthly content calendars, visuals, etc.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reports directly to the COO.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrable Social Media experience, of which at least 3 years with hands-on experience as a Social Media Manager and monitoring multiple Social Media platforms, and performing various analysis activities.
  • Experience in Social Media monitoring tools.A passion for engaging people and building relationships across social media platforms. An expert at moderation and understanding how to manage detractors and advocates.
  • A sharp eye for spotting potential advocates that can be nurtured into super users. A good understanding on how to manage crises and develop a framework that allows rapid management of emerging crises.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to seamlessly move from strategic thinking to on-the-ground tactics.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior leaders, stakeholders and key partners to onboard and engage them with social media
  • Demonstrate leadership and strong project management skills.
  • Experience in ride-hailing, food delivery, fintech, startup and highly dynamic companies is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Team player and an all-round people person. Display accountable behaviors and values – things happen because of you.
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
