PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
BUYING MANEMENT
• Build appropriate merchandise assortments for assigned brands that achieves planned KPIs, including profit, sell-through, margins, inventory turn, cover, rate of sale, etc.
• Maintain Open-to-Buy (OTB) to ensure sales, margins, turns and profitability are within plan.
• Create commercially successful ranges and maximize sales.
• Develops and builds appropriate range plans and recommends investment quantities in line with commercial plan and financial goals
• Creatively plan profitable product assortments to drive growth in each marketplace.
• Assist Sr. buyer and Buying Manger in OTB budgets with the finance and merchant teams.
• Achieve sales margins and sell through rates as set by the business.
• Leverage problem solving and buying skills to develop merchandise strategies that deliver profitable sales for the division while upholding brand and corporate identity.
• Ensure sufficient availability of best sellers and newness for Boutique/ Wholesales accounts.
• Work cross functionally with merchandising, marketing, buying and VM teams.
HOST BRAND MANAGEMENT
• Build and maintain productive relationships with brands and suppliers.
• Review supply strategy and maintain strong communication with host brands.
• Analyze vendor performance
• When needed- Able to negotiate all aspects of profitability including RTVs (Return to Vendor) and special buys to maintain profitability and margin expectations.
• Ensure agreed SLAs are met according to each Host Brand.
STOCK MANAGEMENT
• Monitor stock levels and maintain in line with targets.
• Manage aged stock without compromising brand image.
• Collaborate with Merchandise team on product flow, inventory management, allocation and distribution at department, business and store level.
• Able to understand sales trend and their implication for inventory investment range-building and stock allocation.
REPORTING, RESEARCH AND DATA ANALYTICS
• Analyze sales data, acting quickly to identify and introduce changes.
• Run weekly sales analysis on product performance to identify best/worst performers and recommend effective courses of action to maximize sales without compromising margins.
• Communicate and report all relevant trading information to Sr. Buyer, Buying Manager and Head of B&M.
• Provide assistance to Buying Team and prepare Ad Hoc reports as needed.
• Create retrospective Reports and SWOT analysis on previous seasons to forecast future buys.
