Job Description
- Providing a day-to-day HSSE service that is effective and suitable to support objectives
- Providing regular, reliable data for the purposes of monitoring HSSE performance
- Ensuring HSSE requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented
- Support the Team Manager/Supervisor that you are seconded to
- Become fully conversant with COMPANY'S HSE Golden Rules
- Ensure personnel are fully aware of the following practices and hazards
- Permit to Work
- Tool Box Talks
- Site Safety Tours and worksite audits
- Scaffolding
- Working at Height & dropped objects
- Gas Testing
- Confined Space Entry
- H2S
- Project Inductions
- PPE
- Chemical Handling
- Noise and eye protection
- Heat stroke and dehydration
- Incident notification
- Waste disposal
- Snake and venomous insect hazard
- Local health risks
- Assist in the formal training and refresher training on hazard awareness and local HSE procedures
- Be aware of COMPANY'S accident and incident investigation procedures and policies and assist on incident and accident investigations as directed by Team Leader
- Assist on HSE Risk Assessments
- Attend tool box talks and advise team leads on contents
- Carry out regular safety observation tours and coach and mentor site personnel in good HSE behaviours and safety practices
- Ensure the correct PPE is being used by personnel at the work site and in any areas where a potential hazard exists
- Note and report all near misses
- Regularly audit workshops to ensure good safety practices are being applied
- Able to carry out first aid on site
- Carry out accommodation and food preparation audits as directed by the Team Leader
- Ensure the disposal of waste is carried out as per local procedures
- Assist in the clean-up of any spills to the environment
- Be aware of local country laws on HSE
- Be fully conversant with all Security Procedures and regulations.
