Sr. React Native Developer

Working with the hospitality sector in North America we are recognized for our bespoke offerings as well as our leading edge solutions backed by smart technologies. We are looking for an expert React Native developer interested in building performance mobile apps on both iOS and Android platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for career growth as you will also be responsible to build out a development team of app developers.Creating a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

This is a remote work position.

Responsibilities

- Set the technical direction for architecture and development of mobile apps

- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.

- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.

- Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes

- Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

- Transition existing native apps to React Native

- Manage projects independently

- Build a development team of mobile developers

Requirements

• 4+ years in mobile app development (IOS/Android) of which 2-3 years of experience in React Native
• Experience in shipping two or more Android and/or iOS based applications in React Native
• Proficient in mobile app development using React native on Android and iOS platforms.
• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax, React Native APIs, JSX
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio
• Thorough understanding of React Native development tools like IDEs (Nuclide, Atom, Sublime Text, or Visual Studio Code), OTA service like Expo or CodePush, Chrome debugging tools, etc
• Solid knowledge of Google console environment including Firebase, Maps
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, APNS Push Notification
• Use of Management tools including Bitbucket (GIT), Jira
• Rock-solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
