Associate Director of Academic Services

• Identify strategic goals and design, deliver, and assess programs to support student academic excellence, under the guidance of the Associate Dean for Teaching, Learning and Assessment;
• Lead a team of subject-matter experts and student tutors in economics, languages, and the GUQ writing center, including recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and conducting professional development;
• Steward the training and development program for peer tutors and Undergraduate Teaching Assistants, including the certification process as accredited by the College Reading and Learning Association;
• Provide leadership in the area of student transitions including First Year Experience, and support for new student orientation and related programs;
• Serve as a member of the Student Safety Net committee in collaboration with academic deans, the Student Wellness and Counseling Center, and Student Life to provide appropriate interventions and support to students experience challenges;
• Implement academic accommodations and disabilities related support, in partnership with students, faculty, and relevant university personnel;
