Responsibilities
Paramount to success within this varied role will include;
- Liaising with design department to ensure updated information is always used, checking site works to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
- Assisting in the preparation of method statements, site programs and temporary works planning.
- Assisting in optimizing the Company's commercial interests by ensuring that accurate records for variations are maintained to maximize returns.
- Assisting in the preparation of the Construction Completion documentation.
- Ensuring the works are constructed to a high standard in line with the specifications and good working practices and the required quality records are maintained.
- In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the Company Health & Safety Policy, procedures and safe working practices.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will bring a minimum of 7 years' experience in construction of public works projects including healthcare, education and cultural. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management with registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect.
- Knowledge of international codes and specifications of construction and experience in site supervision is essential.
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
- Appropriate knowledge of project management / engineering procedures.
- Technically proficient in all aspects of project management / engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of quality, health and safety, & environmental management systems related to buildings projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- Evidence of suitable professional qualification PMP, MRICS or equivalent is preferable.
- Arabic language skills.
- Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Primavera / MS Project Planning Software.
