Lab Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities Performs analyses, test and procedures while ensuring accuracy of the patient test results per established Laboratory standards. Performs all quality control (QC) procedures relevant to the area of specialty. Performs all duties using universal precautions and appropriate protective equipment as required to reduce exposure to infection, blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials. Maintains confidentiality relating to all matters dealt within the department. Skills - Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Familiar with laboratory information systems and personal computers Familiar with operation and organization of clinical laboratories.
