Job Description
- Receive details of estimated job requirements, costs involved and time of job completion from the Workshop Controller based on the Estimator’s assessment.
- Complete the repair job ensuring that damaged parts and panels are repaired in the first visit .
- Provide own inputs on panel work requirements (primarily time and parts) required to Workshop Controller and Group Leader/Foreman.
- Straighten bent bodies, remove dents and replace damaged parts that are beyond repair and pull or knock out less serious dents, pits and dimples.
- Coordinate with personnel in Parts to ensure availability of parts to complete repairs in time.
- Dispose off used and damaged parts and return unused parts to designated personnel in Parts.
- Provide technical advice and information to other technicians, where required.
- Comply with Quality Standards and Health & Safety procedures affecting self and others.
