Job Description
- Perform network design and evaluation, circuit planning, and network operations support to ensure the availability of a theater network
- Function as a key advisor to staff organizations tasked to manage the network
- Provide critical RF and IP network engineering knowledge of all connectivity into and out of a theater, to include, reach back connectivity to Regional Hub Nodes and redistribution of services (RF, IP, and Fiber) within the theater
- Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve network outages
- Provide oversight of the satellite transmission plans, bandwidth usage and optimization, and IP network configurations as necessary to ensure the best possible service to the end customer
- Conducting systems testing (e.g. Noise Figure Measurements, Phase Noise), technical guidance, network setup with routers, switches, and IP accelerators, VoIP, VoIP switched infrastructure, Call Manager configuration, system troubleshooting, establishing efficient procedures to resolve trouble tickets, and coordinating the deployment of software release and equipment training
