Senior Software Tester

Job Description

• Discuss and helping in fully realizing the flow and different scenarios to PO (user story writing workshop, size estimation, dry run, release date)
• Discuss with team lead & PO the scope and flow of a project
• Participate in preparing the effort estimation for testing tasks.
• Create test cases and testing scenarios for the user's requirements (user stories/use case).
• Participate in reviewing the iteration test cases.
• Execute test cases and test scenarios (manual or automated), and analyse results.
• Perform integration and regression test on the iteration.
• Participate in preparing the validation plan.
• Perform validation on the final product according to validation plan.
• Prepare test report for a final product.
• Record the bug in the bug tracking system.
• Retest the fixed bugs.
• Track all major, critical and acceptance criteria bugs into closure.
• Participate in preparing the release note
• Analyse and prepare impact analysis for proposed change requests.
• Participate in Re-planning test plan and tasks for approved change requests as needed.
• Participate in defining the testing type and testing strategy.
• Participate in preparing the testing work breakdown structure (WBS) for the user stories/ project.
• Participate in defining the project risks and issues.
• Follow up on setup of test environment & collection of test data
• Participate in post deployment follow up such as (smoke test, issues reported, retest if needed)
