Job Description
- Manage and undertake transportation and traffic engineering assignments:
- Review any recent studies and information on Kabul City traffic that are available / accessible via the KM and its donor-partners and prepare a capacity assessment and traffic-flow model of the Project area, particularly the Abdul Haq roundabout, the MoPW intersections and adjacent routes and roundabouts
- Prepare planning, designing, and improving components of traffic control systems to accommodate current or projected traffic and to increase usability and efficiency.
- Undertake/manage field work such as site investigation, traffic data collection and inventory of signs and pavement markings
- Contribute to construction drawings such as traffic management and detour plans using traffic engineering principles and Ontario Traffic Manuals (or other relevant reference material)
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and communication with clients, colleagues, internal and external leads
- Coordinate stakeholder consultation activities on transportation projects. Present study to the public, client representatives, agencies and other stakeholders. Respond to comments and questions
