Work with the Policy and Advocacy Manager to develop an annual country office communication strategy and work plans to promote Jordan programmes and provide strategic communications support to Jordan’s Advocacy Strategy;
In coordination with the Policy and Advocacy Manager, lead on the creation of high quality external communications products for print, audio/visual and social media in English and Arabic, including feature and human interest stories, program success stories, shortvideos and social media posts (with technical support from the Regional Media Adviser and the Regional Communications Coordinator), press releases, infographics and other related materials;
Lead the identification of new communications opportunities and products that are consistent with communications and/or advocacy strategies, including liaising closely with programme teams and undertaking regular field visits to keep abreast of programs and to ensure that work is featured appropriately in various online and print platforms;
Regularly create content for social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and for global website, and explore and utilize innovative and emerging communication tools and new media in support of the communications strategy;
