Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and proper use of hand tools
- Troubleshoot and safely repair basic mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and components
- Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance manage downtime and communicate issues to peers and leadership. Escalate issues to experts or external resources as needed
- Read and interpret equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment
- Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations requirements or specifications
- Accurately complete all work order and quality paperwork
- Report environmental health and safety concerns to leadership
- Troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment tools and person; reports any injury accident or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Support and comply with GMPs; understand and follow emergency action plan
- Support food safety quality and legality
- Ensure the operation is providing foodsafe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Technical certification preferred
- 3 years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience
- Basic technical skills include Mechanical Troubleshooting Pneumatics Fluid Power Hand Tools
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Selfdirected team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Strong safety awareness
- Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions
