Property Management Inc. (PMI) has a rare opportunity for a motivated individual looking to join a growing company as an employee owner. PMI manages over $4 billion of real estate assets and has over 30000 customers and 360 clients. We are currently searching for one fulltime Accountant to join our team. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing accounting tasks for a portfolio of our clients. Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly analytical review variance analysis and financial statement preparation for a portfolio of properties.
- Serve as primary financial contact for properties assigned.
- Draft annual projections and budgets and participate in yearend work paper preparation.
- Reconcile bank account statements.
- Assist in the filing of annual taxes and financial statement preparation.
- Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Process and reconcile client billing.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of business machine operations Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Yardi software experience a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work additional hours during certain times of the year to meet Accounting Department deadlines.
- Analytical skills necessary in order to manage complex task assignments and provide direction/support to coworkers in task performance.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively deal with coworkers and outside persons.
