Job Description

A prestigious and academically focused coeducational independent school situated in the heart of Londons Mayfair district seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher for a fulltime permanent position commencing in April 2025.   • About the Role:
    • Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and potentially 5 (ALevel) covering core mathematical topics and principles.
    • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities incorporating varied teaching methodologies and resources.
    • Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and development in mathematics.
    • Contribute to the smooth running of the Mathematics department including participating in departmental meetings and potentially assisting with extracurricular mathematics activities or clubs.
    • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment within the mathematics classrooms.
  • Ideal Candidate:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background and specialism in Mathematics.
    • Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level ideally across a range of key stages including GCSE and potentially ALevel.
    • A thorough understanding of the secondary mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
    • A passion for mathematics and a desire to share that enthusiasm with young people in a central London setting.
