Head-of Engineering mfd - Supply Tech - onsite or remote within Germany

We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Head of Engineering (m/f/d) to lead our Supply Tech Unit at ABOUT YOU!

Our Supply Tech Unit is responsible for discovering and creating technical solutions for integrating our supply from beginning to end. With a keen understanding of our supply business and extensive knowledge of the system landscape that runs our ABOUT YOU shops in over 20 countries they seamlessly integrate merchants who sell at ABOUT YOU across a wide range of business models.

What you will do

• Oversee and enable the key strategic initiatives across our system landscape in close collaboration with the application teams
• Build performant & high scalable technical solutions in close cooperation with our core teams
• Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable and stateoftheart products
• Build and manage highperforming engineering teams within the Supply Tech Unit which includes hiring coaching and mentoring
• Managing a Unit of 5 different tech teams and collaborating closely with different business stakeholders 
• Reporting directly to our VP level and preparing MD decisions
• Challenge business requirements to ensure a good balance between technical complexity while maintaining business value
• Provide leadership to the engineering teams fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Who you are

Technical Qualification: 

• PHP (Laravel)
• Vue.JS
• AWS
• MySQL

General Qualification: 

• Experienced in accompanying the development of highscalable software products in an agile environment
• Having a deep understanding of Software Architecture and Infrastructure setups in common cloud providers (e.g. AWS Google Cloud)
• Designing scalable systems and data modeling 
• Deep understanding of business and tech processes
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders (Directors VPs or CSuite) both technical and nontechnical
• Having an analytical datadriven and efficiencyfocused approach
• Working handson with high attention to details and have a getthingsdone mentality
• Very good written and spoken English skills
