Job Description
The Tax and Foreign Trade Operation Departments at Robert Bosch Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a keen interest in Customs Law and related Processes Data Analysis Tax topics and other trade regulatory obligations. This is a rotational role based in Denham over a 2year period.
As a graduate working within the corporate functions of the UK head office you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a high reputable global company where you can develop your personal and professional skills.
Each of the 2 rotations will offer different areas of responsibility and exposure.
Tax Department:
You will be actively working and supporting the teams in two core areas;
Foreign Trade Governance:
Risk Management:
- Conduct quarterly FT Internal controls (G/S OSD4 EMEA21 entities and legal entities outside of GS/OSD4 EMEA21 scope)
- Risk analysis and support with Monitoring of Risk reported on the Risk to Value tool .
- Support with Audits/Verifications
Export Control:
- Support with Export Control audits with coverage of all entities in UK; be part of the Export control assessments and obligations programme and design best practice guidelines
- U.S. export control laws are extraterritorial in nature meaning the laws apply to individuals and activities outside the United States. Be part of the team involved in process design and implementation for conducting U.S.nexus check across all entities and setting up monitoring controls
Foreign Trade Operations Department:
- You will be actively supporting the operations team in areas such as:
- Carrying our procedural mapping and documentation
- Carrying out Invoice Verification with our brokers and driving process improvements
- Supporting the Internal Control process ensuring compliance
- You will support the team development of utilising various tools e.g. PowerBI to bring greater transparency to our processes and results:
- Making sure the MSS data is up to date and provide our internal customers with the relevant KPIs in a userfriendly format
- Preparation of Trader Support Service data for shipments to Ireland utilising automation tools
- Assistance in preparation for and attendance at audits (internal external broker)
- Develop and maintain an internal Bosch Intranet page to provide uptodate information to the UK Businesses
Qualifications :
The role provides a unique opportunity for someone working in both the governance side of the business but also the daytoday operational side too. To be successful the individual would need to have a keen interest working in a trade compliance role which has an ever changing regulatory environment. Increasingly we require team members with strong data analytical skills as well as being able to translate the data to relevant information for communication within the business but also externally to the tax authorities meaning a high attention to detail is also a prerequisite.
Additional Information :
This role will be based in Denham on a hybrid working pattern of a minimum of two days in the office a week.
