Job Description
The Reliability Engineering Manager has overall responsibility for site and engineering activity to include all safety quality continuous process improvement efforts. Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop test modify and create solutions to technical problems and customer concerns.
- Direct and coordinate activities of CREs to ensure customer contract product and services are fulfilled.
- Perform personnel functions such as selection training evaluation coaching and counseling
- Plan prepare and deploy departmental budget and manage processes to forecast expenses explain variances and mitigate negative variances.
- Review financial statements activity reports or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement and identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of John Crane strategic initiatives and objectives.
- Drive engineering performance improvement through the use of appropriate KPIs
- Actively promote Environmental Health & Safety throughout the business ensuring EHS is a goal for all employees and ensure all EHS requirements are fulfilled in accordance with defined responsibilities.
- Work with crossfunctional teams including customer and supplier representatives to resolve product related issues and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in engineering required ME preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years increasingly responsible professional experience in plant process systems and equipment operation or design knowledge is required.
- Supervisory experience with direct reports is preferred.
- Solid multiproject management skills and experience required
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of driving change and achieving results is preferred.
- Experience working in a diverse environment and managing multiple sites is a plus.
